Alexis Kalivretenos

Ms. Kalivretenos is the Band Director at Manor Woods Elementary School and St. John’s Lane Elementary School in Ellicott City, MD. She has a private trumpet studio and teaches students in Howard County and Montgomery County. She is also a Hornline Instructor for the Atholton High School Marching Band. In addition to teaching, she is an active local trumpet player.
After graduating from Centennial High School, Ms. Kalivretenos attended the University of Maryland, College Park earning a bachelor’s degree in music education. She studied trumpet with Chris Gekker, and performed in several ensembles, including the Symphony Orchestra and Wind Orchestra. While a student at UMD, she also served as the Instrumental Music Director at St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Fulton, MD.
